Dear Don,

I don't know that I am in a good position to accurately rate snopes.com or
truthorfiction.com. I don't have a lot of data or evidence to judge them by.
>From what little I have seen I have felt that they are both willing to
accept miracles, and not discount the seemingly impossible. They try to
present an unbiased report on many rumours and threats, etc. I have found
them to be quite accurate. When it comes to 'christian principles' they seem
to be content to report 'facts' more than principles.

I, personally, have found no real reason to challenge what they have
reported. This miracle of answered prayer is a good example. They did report
the facts without embellishment that they have been able to verify. When
they were not able to verify they willingly admitted it, yet still did not
discount the spiritual side of things, whether Christian or otherwise.

Have you had any different experience with them?

Have a blessed Lord's Day.

In Him,

Gérald

Gérald,
This brings up a question I've had for some time relating to this Website
and another one, www.snopes.com that also is set up to debunk internet
legends. I wonder just how trustworthy they are when christian principles
are in question?
Your loving brother,
Don

The basis of this story is true. Some details seem to have been added, but
the basics are accurate. See:
http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/h/hotwaterbottle.htm When I was in
Zaire for a few months, we got talking about the incident, and I was
directed to the young girl of the story. It is thrilling how God answers
very specific prayers.
