Redeemed

I Peter 1:18, 19 - ^Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with
corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation
received by tradition from your fathers; "But with the precious blood of
Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Galatians 4:4, 5 - ''But when the fulness of the time was come. God sent
forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 'To redeem them that
were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Revelation 5:9-B -for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by
thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; "

"Redeemed - how I love to proclaim it! Redeemed by the blood of the
Lamb;

Redeemed through his infinite mercy, his child, and forever I am. "

The word "redeemed" occurs 62 times in the bible, yet you hear very
little about it today from preachers. "Redeem" some 57 times. The word
means to buy back, to ransom, to rescue, to deliver out of slavery and
bondage. In Deuteronomy 7:8 God says, "He redeemed Israel out of the
house on bondmen." God redeems his people out of the bondage of sin, and
Satan, by the precious blood of Christ. *
