Charles Hobart Bollinger, age 85, of Marble Hill, MO, died Thursday Oct.
21, 2004, at his residence.

 

He was born April 2, 1919 at Zalma, MO, son of Charley Lorenzo and
Lottie James Bollinger.  He married Beverly Carroll Roggensack on June
5, 1940 and she preceded him in death on December 29, 1978.  He then
married Vera Holloway Perry on November 20, 1983 and she survives.

 

Mr. Bollinger was employed by the Mid Continent Airlines and Braniff
International Airways as a District transportation Manager of the New
York Area, worked during WW II as a Link trainer instructor.

 

A member of the Marble Hill Bible Chapel; President and Secretary of
KAAMCO, an Alderman of Marble Hill, on the Board of Hickory Hills, and
the Marble Hill Museum, a Police Commissioner, Administrator of the El
Nathan Home a Sunday School Superintendent and an Elder of the Marble
Hill Bible Chapel.

 

Survivors include: his wife, Vera, of Marble Hill, two daughters Sharla
Wilson of Rockdale, TX, Carol Harrington of Durango, CO, three sisters
Evelyn Taylor of Mt. Dora, FL, Minna-Gene Bollinger of Marble Hill,
Nedra Johnson of Marble Hill, one half sister Shirley Bollinger of
Sutter Creek, CA and two grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, El
Nathan Home, or to the SE Missouri Hospice.

 

Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the
Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.  Funeral Services will be Sunday at
2:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Glen Lightfoot and Dr. John Engelhart
officiating. Burial will follow in the El Nathan Cemetery in Marble
Hill.
