Dear loving brother Don,
To suggest a phrase "saints / Christians gathered in the Name of the Lord"
is a sectarian title is searching for a way to bruise your good brethren.
For example, for us here in Argyle to say we are "Christians gather(ing) in
the Name of the Lord" provides you with no argument for unbiblical titles,
no more than the statement "the church of God at Corinth." That is only a
statement of fact.
I think again that you're up against it on this one, and you'll only be
flinging out silly arguments as you seek to justify taking names that do
not include all your fellow saints. Simply read how the term "brethren" is
used in holy Scripture, and you'll at least secretly come to a fast
conclusion you've not a good foundation for your present argument.
You be good now, ya hear?
