Good morning, all!

Late Wednesday afternoon, Carol was discharged  from 
Duke University Medical Center. What a joy to get her
back to where we're staying!! She is doing so well - we're
all amazed at how great she looks. Recently we've learned
just how tumors rob the patient of nutrition and fluids, and
now that they've been removed from Carol, and she has
been fully rehydrated, it looks as if she's 4-5 years younger
than she looked even two months ago! Carol's younger
sister flew in late Wednesday night, and has joined the 3
of us. It's just fun being together here again.

Now on Monday, assuming the Pathology reports from the
surgery last Wednesday are back, Carol's two surgeons, as
well as her Radiolgic and medical Oncologists, will review
her case. What will be decided will be whether or not they
allow her to heal from these surgeries and then perform the
mastectomy, or, whether before the mastectomy, they run
her through a course of chemo. We'll let you know when
we know...but, if the Path reports aren't in on time, they'll
meet the following Monday.

It has been great to be able to catch up on rest and sleep
since returning here...we were all really exhausted without
knowing it. Lord willing, we'll head home early next week,
before our boys return for Thanksgiving. We have so much
to be thankful for this year, and it will be a special day.

For all of your e-mails, cards, and encouragement, we can
only thank all of you. Some of you, or your Assemblies, have
sent us gifts, knowing that I've cancelled all of my meetings
through the end of the year. One day I'll be able to get caught
up personally; but for now, we can only say thanks for the help
and wonderful encouragement this has brought. It helps us to
realize that God is still in control of all, and just how much we
can rest fully on Him for everything.
