The fact of the matter is that the only group of brethren that would feel "bruised" are those that use this term in an exclusionary manner. Why? Because they believe they they are the ONLY ones that have the Lord in their midst! There is no way they would every admit that the term, "The saints gathered to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ" includes anyone except those in their group. They especially would never admit that any Open Brethren are included in this phrase. Is this the reason you ignored my question regarding this, because you belong to this group?

Yes, I agree, you will never admit you are wrong, because everyone in your group agrees with you, and neither will I, because I know I'm on good foundation for my present argument..scripturally speaking, so we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one.

Any >other use of it is blatant exclusion of the rest of God's people! Dear loving brother Don, To suggest a phrase "saints / Christians gathered in the Name of the Lord" is a sectarian title is searching for a way to bruise your good brethren. For example, for us here in Argyle to say we are "Christians gather(ing) in the Name of the Lord" provides you with no argument for unbiblical titles, no more than the statement "the church of God at Corinth." That is only a statement of fact. I think again t!
hat you're up against it on this one, and you'll only be flinging out silly arguments as you seek to justify taking names that do not include all your fellow saints. Simply read how the term "brethren" is used in holy Scripture, and you'll at least secretly come to a fast conclusion you've not a good foundation for your present argument. You be good now, ya hear?
