DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO

Rachel Newby advises that she and her colleagues have been able to clear
two containers of medicines and medical equipment.  In this instance
this was undertaken without all of the requisite paperwork being
completed, which often takes months to complete.  Please continue to
pray for a long-term solution to be found for the receipt and clearance
of containers.

 

REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA

Rodney and Joy Brown advise that Rodney has been invited by the
Lansdowne Assembly near Cape Town to preach the gospel in the assembly
hall on the four Sunday evenings of November.  Prayer would be
appreciated for power in preaching, for a good attendance, and that all
who attend will be challenged by the Word of God.

 

ZAMBIA

Jean-Luc and Rita Hainaut advise that they are currently visiting Lupiya
village on the northern border with Democratic Republic of Congo.  They
will be involved in the distribution of aid to the Congolese refugees.
They have been granted permission to cross over in Pweto, which will
give them the opportunity to assess the situation at Chamfubu.  Please
pray that they will enjoy safety of travel and be given wisdom as they
assess the situations they meet.  In addition please pray that their
visit will be a blessing and encouragement to those they meet.

 

MEXICO

Eglon and Judith Harris seek prayer for a united conference for all the
Nahuatl speaking assemblies in Atlehuaya, which is due to be held on 1
and 2 November.  Please pray that this will be a time of encouragement
for all who attend.

 

FRANCE

Colin and Mary Crow are due to visit Reunion Island and Madagascar from
3 to 27 November.  They will be attending the thirtieth anniversary of
assembly work in Reunion Island.  They will be involved in an extremely
busy programme, including several meetings.  Please pray for safety of
travel, good health and spiritual freshness during this visit, and that
their ministry will be a blessing and encouragement to those they meet.

 

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

Eric and Glo Davis seek prayer for the next Digging Deeper Bible
Teaching Seminar due to be held on 6 November.  The speaker expected is
Mr U Crothers and he will be dealing with the subject 'Facing Impurity
in the Church'.  Further details of the meeting can be obtained from
Eric - email: ecdavis at aol.com.  Please pray for a good attendance and
that all who attend will be challenged by the Word of God.

 

John and Linda Stanfield seek prayer for Billy and Catherine with whom
they are studying the Scriptures.  Unfortunately Billy is not able to
attend these studies for a few weeks due to prior commitments.  Please
pray that he will return to these studies once his current commitments
have finished.  In addition we are asked to pray for the ladies who
attend the 'Get Real' group - some of these are clearly resistant to the
gospel.  Please pray that as they study the current 'Precepts' study
material they will be challenged by the Word of God.

 

FINALLY

John McQuoid is due to visit Malaysia from 4 to 29 November.  He will be
involved in a heavy schedule of preaching and teaching engagements.
Please pray for safety of travel, good health and spiritual freshness,
and that his visit will be a blessing and encouragement to those he
meets.  His wife, Edith, will remain at home, and prayer would be
appreciated for her in John's absence.
