Scripture Truth
John 3:1 "There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus a ruler of the
Jews V: 2 The same came to Jesus by night and said unto him rabbi, we know
that thou art a teacher come from God: For no man can do these miracles
that thou
doest, except God be with him V: 3 Jesus answered and said unto him
verily, verily I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot
see the
Kingdom of God. V: 5 Jesus answered verily, verily, I say unto thee,
except a
man be born of water and the spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of
God."
Nicodemus was a very high ruler in the Jewish religion yet the Lord
Jesus told
him he needed to be born again. He needed a savior not a teacher.
D.L. Moody was a great evangelist of a past generation, and he often
preached
on the subject, "Ye must be born again," Someone once asked him why he so
often preached this message? His answer was simple! Because "Ye must be
born again," The Lord gave Nicodemus an illustration from the old
testament, -
Numbers 21:5-9 "Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,"
even so the son of man would be lifted up on a cross,
and all who believed on him would have eternal life.
May I ask you a question -
Do you know for sure, are you absolutely positive you have been born again?
