Scripture Truth
John 3- 7 The Lord Jesus said unto Nicodemus: "Marvel not that I said
unto you, ye must
be born again. V: 9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, how can these
things be?
V: 13 and no man hath ascended up to heaven,
but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of Man that is in heaven.
V: 14 and as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,
even so must the son of man be lifted up: -
Numbers 21 5-9, V: 15 that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have eternal life."
The Lord Jesus told this teacher in Israel, and all of us, what we must
do to have eternal
life. "I must go home by the way of the cross, there is no other way but
this. I will never
get sight of the Gates of Light if the way of the cross I miss." He told
this Tnan that: Christ
must be lifted up on a cross so that sinners looking to him by faith
might have everlasting
life. As Moses long ago had lifted up the serpent of brass over the camp
of Israel those
who had been bitten by the serpents would die, all they had to do was
look at the
serpent on the pole and they would live. We must look away from self,
and unto the Christ of God, believe on him, and we will have eternal life.
May I ask you a question?
Have you looked to Christ alone for salvation?
