John 5:24 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth My word, and
believeth on Him
that sent Me, hath everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation;

but is passed from death unto life. (Hear the Word of God.)

John 6:47 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath
everlasting life.
I John 5:10 - He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in
himself; He that
believeth not God hath made Him a liar;

because he believeth not the record that God gave of His Son.
(Believe and have everlasting life.)

After the Lord healed the man at the pool of Bethesda and told the
people of his equality
with God, He gave them an invitation to believe on Him, and have
everlasting life.
Recently I was at the mall and saw a young man collecting money for the
Children's Fund.
I asked him if he knew for sure, was he absolutely positive he was going
to heaven? He
said he was doing the best he could to go. I shocked him when I told
him, "That is not
the way to heaven." This would be offering to God what he had done, his
good works, and
God would not, could not accept that for his salvation. We go to heaven
by believing on
Christ who died for us and rose again. Nothing more, nothing less,
nothing else.

May I ask you a question - Are you hoping to go to Heaven by doing the
best you can?
God will not accept that.
