Scripture Truth
John 5:6 - When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long
time in that
case, he saith unto him, "Wilt thou be made whole?"
V7 - The important man answered him
"Sir, 1 have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool;
but while 1 am coming, another stcppeth down before me."
"In loving compassion. He said to him, 'Do you want'to be made well.'
The Lord knew that this was the greatest longing of the man's heart,
but he wanted to draw out from the man an admission of his own helplessness
and of his desperate need for healing.
It is much the same with salvation.
The Lord knows that we desperately need to be saved,
but He waits to hear the confession from our own lips that we are lost,
that we need to accept Him as our Saviour." - William McDonald.
May 1 ask you a Question?
Have you ever seen your lost condition, and received Christ as your Lord
and Saviour
